The rain dribbled with sounds of splatter hitting the roads and pavement. The area is quite clean but the concrete has a slight rust to it.
Azad, Goro and I stand outside the bank. The bank is grand in appearance with a classical style. The central entrance features Corinthian columns that support a grand, triangular decorative pediment. It is symmetrical with windows on both sides framed by decorative pediments.
Azad had dark brown, wavy hair that was almost black, and yellow eyes. I always thought his eyes were interesting. It’s the one unique thing about him. He has very strong features and a hooked nose. He is quite stocky and has light brown skin. He’s in a hoodie and tracksuit.
Goro is more on the skinnier side. He had small monolid eyes with round glasses to compliment it. He had very dark brown hair styled into a middle part. He’s in a button-up shirt and formal trousers. He was quite light in skin colour.
This will be a great heist for us to make a lot of money. If we could succeed, maybe I can become something. I need to succeed. I can’t continue to live how I currently do.
“Yo, it's time to get some Ps!” Azad said loudly while punching his left fist to his right hand which cupped it as he took a slight step forward. “Let's rob this fucking bank.”
“Calm down!” Goro said in a slightly higher pitch than usual as he moved his hands slightly down with his whole arm straight. “Let's not get ahead of ourselves. We need to think of a plan first. What are you thinking Ali?”
“I got my good guy Ben to put tear gas down the vent and disable the alarm,” I said. “It will activate on my signal.”
Ben is inside the car. We communicated with each other with our earpieces. Ben had brown hair with a messy fringe hairstyle. He had a slim but well-built body and was quite pale with droopy blue eyes.
“Ok…” Goro said with slight hesitation.
“I also got the suits to protect us from the gas. We got less than 5 minutes to rob this bitch so calmly intimate the bankers to show us the stash, put as much as you can in the bag, then when 4 minutes is up, we are dashing out of here in less than a minute. This gives us 5 minutes in total. Got it.”
“Got it.”
“I don’t remember asking but I got it,” Azad said with a slight smirk.
“Azad… shut up!” I said with a slight tut. “Anyway Ben activate it now.”
“OK done,” Ben said with a monotone voice. “I put the counter on now. You guys got 5 minutes.”
My heart was pumping with blood rushing around my body. My hands were trembling. This was the greatest robbery I have done in my entire life. My life was at stack here but the rewards were massive. Imagine the life of luxury I could be in. It would be a great contrast to how life currently was.
“OK let go in!” I said as we put on our balaclava and rushed into the building.
We walked in with our guns out as the customers trembled and screamed. This is a direct contrast to the mellow music and elegant interior. My finger is on the trigger ready to shoot anyone who dared to block my goal. I’m not the type to go berserk but I’ve been waiting for this moment for too long to let anyone mess it up. Azad grabbed the lady working by the till by the neck; pointing the gun to her head.
“Listen here bitch!” Azad Shouted. “Show me where the fuck you keep your money!”
Her face was pale. Her eyes widened and her mouth trembled as she continuously bites her lips.
“OK.. Ok, sure!” She muttered. “Fol…follow me. Ple…ple…please don't shoot me.”
Azad lets go of the lady as she fell onto her butt with her body shaking hysterically. She slowly crawled and then stood up with hesitation. Stumbling along the way; she walks us to the vault. She opened the vault as her hands trembled.
“He…Here you go.” She muttered. “Is-Is there anything else you you need.”
“Nah.” I said in a monotone voice trying to calm her down but avoiding eye contact. “You can leave now. Thanks for the offer tho.”
“O…Ok. Thank you.”
She quickly stood up and ran away.
“And make sure not to tell anyone bitch coz if you do, your gonna be sorry that you were ever born!” Azad shouted to the lady.
We enter the vault and start staring at the amount of money.
“Goldmine!” Goro said.
“You’re right on that,” I said.
We start putting the money into our bags. Each of us probably had £50 million in our respective bags.
As I was stashing the money, I found a blue glowing can. I secretly concealed it and stuffed it into my bag, hoping no one noticed. I then continue stuffing more money.
“We gonna be riiich!” Azad exclaimed.
“If we escape the feds that is,” Goro replied.
“Don’t be so pessimistic,” I said as I looked down on the floor and paused. “We’ll be fine. We have to be.”
“OK, times up,” Ben said to us in our earpiece. “Get the fuck out of here.”
“You guys got all the money,” I said.
“Yeah!” Goro said. “Let’s bolt.”
We rushed out and left the bank. We see our car parked by the bank with Ben in the backseat. We opened the boot and threw our bag into it.
“I’m driving, you guys will take cover,” I said. “Shoot the feds and I’ll try to lose their tail.”
I got into the driver's seat and started the engine. Azad got in the front passenger seat and Goro entered the back. I then started the engine and drove off. The police drove behind us.
“Ayo!” Azad exclaimed. “I see feds on our ass.”
“Then shoot at them you retard!” I shouted.
Azad and Goro started shooting at the police which caused them to lose control and crash. Azad was on the left side and Goro was on the right. Ben was in the middle, using his laptop to check where the police could be and using his navigation system to find paths that could help us lose them.
“Turn left,” Ben said.
I turned left as two cops tailgated us. Azad shot the tyres of one of the cops. This made their car lose control; which caused the cop to crash into the other cop's car.
“WoooHoo!” Azad exclaimed with his hands in the air. “I got that stupid ass bitch!”
“Nice one,” Goro said.
Another police car came out and tailgated behind us.
“Drift to the right,” Ben said.
I made a quick turn to the right and pressed down on the accelerator. As I sped through London, I felt the tingling sensation on my back while my hands started to get slightly sweaty.
“Ok, I need you to make two left, one right,” Ben said. “When you're done I will then tell you when to speed off a ramp which leads to a motorway.”
“Wait, since when were ramps just lying around in London?” Azad said with a tilt to his head.
“Just focus on the police.”
I do exactly as Ben said. I trust him to get us out of this situation. He is very skilled when it comes to these types of issues. Azad and Goro made it easier for me as they took down any police coming after us.
“Azad and Goro, start going haywire,” Ben said as we reached the point where I saw the ramp.
Azad and Goro shot at the police like wild animals causing bullets to fly everywhere.
“Keep shooting you guys,” Ben said. “Ali, drive to the ramp now.”
I sped off as fast as possible. The car glided off the ramp and flew. The car then landed like a bouncing ball causing everyone in the car to jolt.
“Jesus!” Goro said as he breaths heavily. “Don’t bloody kill us!”
“See that tunnel,” Ben said. “Drive through it and get us to the other side.”
I pressed on the accelerator and whizzed into the tunnel. I avoided all cars coming from both directions and made it to the other side.
“Ok, I think we made it.” Ben sighed. “Let’s go to your house Ali.”
I drove back home. Everyone gave sighs in relief. We take off our balaclava.
“Damn, that was hectic,” Goro said.
“Facts,” I said. “But we made a lot of money of this.”
“Yeah true. We are hella rich now.”
I arrived at my house and parked on the side. My house is semi-detached with a black door on the right and a mini window above it. To the left is a window on the bottom and top. The house material of the bottom is made of light brown bricks and the top is made of pale, cream-colour render. The other half of the house has a similar design but with a blue door. The front area is fenced with small gates to access the house.
I got out of the car and opened the boot; grabbed all the bag, opened the door and then took it upstairs. I chuck it into a room we designed for planning different operations.
There’s a whiteboard and a bunch of papers everywhere. There’s also a bunch of black cases hidden with guns and other weapons. I opened the bag that was initially designated for me and grabbed the glowing can. I took the can and placed it in my bedroom.
My bedroom is quite small with a single bed, a wardrobe and a drawer. The drawer is decorated with a bunch of perfumes and a single lamp. I place the glowing can inside the drawer where my pistol is. I then head downstairs to the living room.
I see the Azad and Goro sloughed on the leather cough. Ben is in an upright position. There is a coffee table with chips, chicken popcorn and fish fingers on top. The coffee table is situated on top of a fluffy grey rug. They watch a comedy movie beamed from the 40-inch TV mounted on the wall.
“I see you guys already made some food for yourself,” I said.
“Don’t worry!” Azad said with a slight smirk. “We made some fish fingers just for you.”
“Haha, real funny!” I said in a sarcastic tone. “You know I’m only half Bengali right.”
“Azad, Stop with your dumb jokes!” Ben said with a stern voice. “Anyway, We better lay low now. We can't spend the money until 2 months and we can only spend it in increments.”
“Yeah yeah whatever you say,” Azad said with his arms crossed and rolling his eyes. “I swear you’re always a Debbie downer.”
“Yo You guys want a little booze,” Goro said. “I'll get some bear.”
“No that is haram,” Azad said. But you can bring me some of that shisha.
“How are you gonna say alcohol is haram but then turn around and smoke shisha,” I said with my right eyebrow slightly lifted up.
“Because it’s different init.”
“How the fuck is it different when both are clearly haram.”
“Just is init.”
“Yeah Yeah, whatever,” I said as I rolled my eyes and turned to sit on the couch. I started to eat the food presented.
Goro walked up to get the shisha and bear can from the kitchen.
“Yo Azad!” said Ben. “How are you and Becky doing?”
“We’re still doing good,” Azad replied. “I can’t lie, she cool as fuck! What about you Ben?”
“I’m doing alright. Right now, I’m just focusing on myself so I don’t want a girlfriend. I’m talking with some girls here and there but nothing too serious.”
“Whatever! That's just your excuse! You just wanna fuck as many bitches as you can! Don't lie!”
“Listen, I just don’t have time for a girlfriend right now and it’s just that every time I meet a girl, it leads nowhere. ”
“Sure if that’s your excuse.”
“Say what you want about me, I don't care! Anyway, does your girl know that you’re secretly a criminal?”
“Not really. She is way too innocent to know that I live this lifestyle.”
“She will find out eventually you know that right.”
“Well let's hope that doesn't happen.”
“Yo Ali, how's your love life? Who's the lucky girl in your life.”
“Mans never dated a girl. In fact, he's never even kissed a girl.”
“Are you being for real?”
“Yep.”
“It’s ok Ali. I’m sure the right girl will come eventually.”
“Man, I’m just focusing on other things right now,” I replied with my eyebrows lowered and a slight frown. “When the right girl comes, then I'll have a ting but until then I'll continue enjoying my life. I’m just too preoccupied to be thinking about that.”
“Sure man,” Ben said.
“Shut up!”
To be honest, I do want a girlfriend. A girl to complete my life. I can't believe I'm 19 and still don't have one yet. I wonder if I'm ever going to find love. Oh well. At least I have money. This should feel some of the void. I think so at least. I don’t know why but life feels empty and meaningless. Will having money change my life? If It doesn’t, then this heist was for nothing.
